Choosing a school that provides an excellent education for your child is crucial.
Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum, but is not constrained by it.
Welcome to Broughton Manor Nursery, where we care for babies from 2 months to children of 2 1/2 years.
Welcome to Benedict House Preparatory School
Benedict House is a warm and inclusive school where children are encouraged to flourish in a supportive environment. Catering for pupils from Pre-School to Year 6, we offer a well-rounded education that blends academic rigour with personal development. Our focus is on helping every child achieve their full potential, preparing them for the next stage of their educational journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
Rooted in the philosophy of “Towards the future as a family,” we believe in truly understanding each child as an individual. By getting to the heart of who they are, both in their personality and how they learn, we create a personalised educational experience that builds confidence and inspires excellence. This holistic approach is complemented by our commitment to academic rigour, ensuring pupils are fully prepared for secondary school, including success in the 11+ and independent school entrance examinations.
Our vibrant and diverse curriculum fosters curiosity, creativity and resilience, equipping pupils with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. Whether exploring the natural environment, engaging with the latest technologies or performing on stage, children at Benedict House grow into confident and capable learners ready for future challenges.
As a proud member of the Chatsworth Schools group, we celebrate the richness of diversity within our school community. We welcome children from all walks of life, knowing that this variety of experiences enhances the fabric of our school and the learning journey. Alongside our strong academic foundations, we emphasise vital skills such as teamwork, innovative thinking and problem-solving.
At Benedict House, we place great value on fostering a sense of belonging. Through outstanding pastoral care, we create a safe and caring environment where every child feels valued and supported. We promote kindness, respect and individuality, encouraging pupils to build meaningful relationships and develop a strong sense of responsibility towards others and the wider world.

Our Year 4 Birch class had a truly fantastic trip to Knoll House Yesterday!
Throughout the day, our children showed brilliant interest, enthusiasm and a wonderful display of our school values. They fully immersed themselves in a range of Tudor-themed learning experiences, examining historical artefacts, dressing up in Tudor costumes and even taking part in a traditional Tudor dance! 🤩
What an amazing day for us all! #sidcupmums #bexleymums #dartfordmums #bromleymums #bexleyheathmums @chatsworthschls
A huge well done to our amazing quiz maths semi-finalists today! Our year 5 and 6 children worked extremely well as a team against strong competition. Our Year 6 Oak class at Benedict House Prep School have been putting their maths skills into real-life action! 📊🍽️
As part of their presentations on the practical application of mathematics, our children were challenged to plan a healthy three-course meal for a family of four all within a £25 budget. From researching ingredients and comparing supermarket prices to calculating totals and ensuring nutritional balance, the task brought budgeting to life in a meaningful and engaging way.
The project showcased fantastic teamwork, thoughtful research, and growing confidence in presentation skills. We are so proud of how our children are developing into articulate, collaborative learners who understand how maths connects to everyday life! #sidcupmums #bexleymums #dartfordmums #bromleymums #chislehurstmums @chatsworthschls

This morning at Benedict House Prep School our assembly was led by Mrs Baker, who spoke to our children about International Women’s Day and why it matters.
Mrs Baker shared an inspiring message about the importance of equal rights fairness and justice for women and girls around the world. Our Prep children reflected on how everyone deserves the same opportunities to learn, grow and succeed, and how small acts of kindness, respect and courage can help create a more equal future.
We are proud of the thoughtful discussions that followed and of the way our children continue to live out our values in all they do. 🌍💜 #internationalwomansday #sidcupmums #dartfordmums #bexleymums #bromleymums @chatsworthschls
Our fantastic Year 3 children have made an exciting start to their new Science unit on Forces and Magnets! 🔎🧲
This week, we took our learning outside into the playground to explore contact and non-contact forces in action.
We loved seeing our children test ideas, ask thoughtful questions and make real world connections through hands-on exploration. What a great start to our new topic we can’t wait to see where their learning takes them next! 🌟 #sidcupmums #bexleymums #dartfordmums #bromleymums #orpingtonmums @chatsworthschls
