What Skills and Experience We Are Looking For
We are seeking a kind, patient, and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Reception who has recently been granted an EHCP. The successful candidate will be compassionate, adaptable, and able to build a strong, trusting relationship with the child, helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
Experience of supporting children with additional needs, such as speech and language delay, autism, or sensory needs, would be highly beneficial. The role requires someone who can follow guidance from the class teacher and SENDCo, while also using their initiative to respond sensitively to the child’s needs as they arise. Above all, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is passionate about helping them to develop both academically and emotionally.
