Growing With Us From Pre-School to Year 6

At Benedict House Preparatory School, children can begin their educational journey with us from the age of 2 years and 8 months and continue through to the end of Year 6, when they are 11. This continuity provides children with a strong sense of familiarity, security and belonging throughout their formative years.

As children grow, staff are able to develop a deep understanding of each child’s personality, strengths, learning style and individual needs. These strong relationships allow pupils to feel known, supported and confident as they progress through the different stages of school life.

A continuous educational journey also helps provide consistency in routines, expectations and values. Children benefit from a carefully planned progression across Early Years, Pre-Prep and Prep School, allowing skills, confidence and independence to develop naturally over time.

For families, continuity can offer reassurance and stability during important stages of childhood development. Transitions between year groups are familiar and supportive, helping children approach new experiences with confidence.

Throughout their time at Benedict House, pupils are encouraged to grow academically, socially and emotionally within a nurturing school community that values both achievement and wellbeing.

By the time children leave Benedict House at the end of Year 6 and take the 11+, they do so as confident, well rounded young people who have benefitted from years of consistent support, encouragement and opportunity within the same caring environment.
