Stages of Learning
Throughout our EYFS department we have an enabling, inspiring environment with well-qualified, knowledgeable staff who craft the curriculum around the children.
Within our Pre-Prep we provide a stimulating, encouraging environment in which every child is valued as an individual who has their own personality, needs and aspirations.
Our Prep Department curriculum builds on the foundations laid in Pre-Prep and offers an exciting and engaging curriculum taught by long serving, qualified teachers.
Benedict House School is a vibrant school with a wonderful family atmosphere in the heart of Sidcup.
Small class sizes and strong pastoral care
Benedict House is a very happy community where children thrive in small classes with excellent pastoral care.
Sport is an integral part of school life
All pupils participate in a broad range of physical activities throughout the year including football, touch rugby, netball, gymnastics, dance, cricket, rounders, athletics and swimming.
Inclusive and diverse
We are a proudly diverse school and an inclusive community with children from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.
Excellent results at 11+
Our pupils achieve superb results at 11+, unparalleled among local state and independent schools, with a consistently high percentage gaining entry into selective Grammar Schools.
At Benedict House, you will find a caring environment in which all children feel relaxed and at home and where staff get to know every child in the school, and not just those in their own classes. This ensures children are happy, motivated to achieve and enthusiastic about their learning.
Our children achieve highly in the classroom, on the sports field, on the stage and in the music department and we believe this is down not only to our fantastic pupils and inspiring teachers but to the family atmosphere you will find at the school.
Everything that happens at Benedict House has our pupils and their individual needs at heart and I very much hope you will take the time to come and visit us.
